Terms

Last updated 27 August 2026.

These terms take effect when you create an account, and are accurate as of the date above. If we change them in a way that affects you, we will tell you before the change applies.

These terms are the agreement between you and Kordarna Pty Ltd (ABN 80 701 850 982) for the use of Kordarna. We have tried to write them in plain words. Where a sentence could be read two ways, we mean the ordinary one.

The service

Kordarna is a tool for planning creative work: scripts, arcs, shot lists, storyboards, budgets and schedules. We add to it and change it regularly, and we do not promise it will be available without interruption.

Your account

You need an account to use Kordarna. Give us an address you can actually receive mail at, because it is how you get back in if you forget your password. Keep your password to yourself. An account is for one person; a team plan is how several people work together.

You must be at least 13 to use Kordarna.

Your work is yours

You own everything you write, draw and upload. We claim no ownership of it whatsoever, and we do not acquire any right to publish it, show it to anyone, sell it, or train anything on it.

You give us only the narrow permission we need to run the service for you: to store your work, encrypt it, move it between your devices, back it up, and show it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share it with. That permission ends when you delete the work or close your account.

What you may not do

  • Use Kordarna to store or share material that is unlawful, or that infringes somebody else's rights.
  • Use it to harass anyone, including through a username or a shared project.
  • Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service, other people's accounts, or the systems behind them.
  • Resell access to Kordarna, or present it as your own product.

Plans and payment

Kordarna has a free plan and paid plans. Prices are as shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe, and you are charged in advance for the period you choose. We will not quietly change what a plan costs you mid-period.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account settings, and you keep the plan until the period you have already paid for runs out.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us: we store which plan you are on, when it renews, and how many seats you have, and nothing else about your payment method.

If you cancel, we do not refund the remainder of a period you have already paid for. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies whether or not we mention it, and which we will honour if Kordarna is faulty or is not what we described.

If a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted. Every project and every tab you already have is still there, you can still open it, and you can still export it.

What changes is that tabs outside the free plan become read only. The free plan covers Planning, Writing, Inspiration, Resources and Characters, so you can carry on writing; a Shot List, Storyboard, Budget, Calendar, Compose, Credits, Arcs or Pitch Deck you already have stays visible and stops accepting changes until you choose a plan again. Anything read only says so on the page. The same applies to the sample project that comes with a new account.

Two things do not change when a plan ends. Export keeps working on a read-only tab, from Settings and from the project itself, so your work is never somewhere you can see it and cannot retrieve it. And while you are above the free plan's limit of five projects, your existing projects all stay; you simply cannot start a new one until you are back under it.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using Kordarna whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account.

We may suspend an account that is breaking the rules above, or that is putting the service or other people at risk. A suspended account keeps read access to its own work and cannot save or sync; we do not use suspension as a way to hold somebody's writing hostage. If we ever end an account outright, we will give you a reasonable chance to export your work first unless the law prevents it.

Availability, and what we do not promise

We will take reasonable care, but Kordarna is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults or always available, and you should keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Settings has an export button for exactly that.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or to resupplying the service.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, not by editing this page quietly.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away rights you have at home.
